And Spain still has no effective government; it's just like being at home
Before heading for our bus we talk a stroll by the River Nervión. This is my third time in Bilbao. I came eight years ago with my family and more recently to study Spanish with my friend. Here is the story of Bilbao. It is a place I love.
And of course it has recently been regenerated thanks to the beautiful Guggenheim, which you can see behind the History Girl. http://www.guggenheim-bilbao.es/
Wandering back to Bilbao we see the lovely church of San Vincente
There are frequent bus services to Donastia-San Sebastián and we are in our seats within two minutes of entering the bus station. The journey is via the motorway and quite bendy. I feel at home back in the green and forested Basque country.
Our route is shown below
We walk to the old town on arrival in San Sebastián and are met by our warm and friendly Airbnb hosts. We thoroughly recommend the well equipped, clean, cosy and central apartment.
The History Girl takes a quick siesta and I unpack and make myself at home.
